Sullivan Cup One hit mixed épée - Cardiff - 20 March 2005

Falling as it did, on the day after the Wales-Ireland Grand Slam decider, numbers were a little down on last year ! At the end of the first round, Mike Lee, James Clark, and Aled Jones were well ahead of the field. Making up ground in rounds two and three was David Aston, but experienced Veteran Mike Lee stretched his lead quietly and effectively, and took the day.

This was all the more commendable because Mike had only just resumed fencing following hospital day surgery. Well done, Mike !
