Club Championship competition - 4th December 2024

Another busy evening for the club, as 10 club members fought it out for the title of Club Champion.

Format : Poule Unique, 5 hits, and competition-style scoring against 'Total Victories', tied places being decided on Hits Scored minus Hits Received indicators.
Referees : Club Organiser : Michael, and Competitors : Marc & Rupert, in tandem.

Once again a high standard of fencing was evident, with good performances from newcomers Carl & Mallory, and old-hand Paul (Red) Redmond. Welcome back too to Lee after an absence of some years, and looking like he had never been away ! Strong performances from Andrea, Marc & Rupert kept everyone's attention, with only the slightest number of points separating them. Very well done to winner, Marc, with 8 victories. Overall, a very close match.

Well done also to Mallory, who joined us earlier in the year from sunny California, and recent beginner, Bogdan, both facing up well to their more experienced club members in such a brisk competition !
