How to Join

Pay monthly:
£16.50 monthly by Standing Order.

Club membership covers

  • Fencing at the Club throughout the year
  • Coaching for improvers - from one of the Club Coaches
  • Notification of special Club events, additional dates / changes in date, and functions, such as the Christmas Meal !

Can I pay annually for membership ?
Certainly, and it's slightly cheaper - £180.   If paying by cheque, it should be made payable to 'Whitchurch Fencing Club'.

Pay 'on the night'
Visiting members are most welcome - the rate is £6.50 per session.
Payment - on the night, with the "right money", please.

The small print
Admission to the Club is at the discretion of the Club Officers.  Minimum age - 15½.  Inappropriate, anti-social, or unsafe activity may result in exclusion from the Club.  Taking part in Club activities is at the individual’s own risk, and the Club / Club Officials cannot be held responsible for any accident, loss, damage, or injury, howsoever caused.

It is expected that all Club members / visiting fencers will have membership of WF / BFA at the appropriate level.  In addition, they should have selected 'Whitchurch Fencing Club' as an affiliated club on the BFA sport80 database.  Visitors may be asked to supply their BFA membership number, as appropriate.

Photography - occasional photographs may be taken by the Club Officers, or their representatives.  These are purely for the purpose of promoting Fencing, the Club, and any competitions which it organises, and may be displayed on the club website, or related publications, such as, but not limited to, the WF website and/or The Sword magazine.  Any Club Members who do not wish to have their image displayed in this way are asked to contact the Club Secretary.

Dates - the Club meets on Tuesday evenings throughout year.  Occasionally an individual Tuesday evening may not be available because of other demands on the Hall.  Where this happens, as much notice as possible will be given.  December - generally,club closed for two weeks for the Christmas holiday, with the Club Christmas meal the preceding week.
